(Washington: Kareen Wynter) The story of Layna McConkey Peltier†, whose father, Capt. Wayne McConkey†, died in the Vietnam war when she was a year old, and her discovery of audiotapes of her father’s voice, presented; photos shown; tape excerpts played. [PELTIER – recounts finding the tapes while putting affairs in order for her mother, who was dying of cancer; reads a letter written in 1970.]
