(New Orleans: David Lee Miller) The situation outside of the Convention Center in New Orleans updated; details given about large-scale helicopter evacuations of Hurricane Katrina survivors; scenes shown from the I-10 overpass, where survivors waited for nearly 6 days to be evacuated.

(Studio: Kiran Chetry) The efforts of animal welfare groups to rescue hundreds of pets left behind by evacuees noted.

(Kenner: Anita Vogel) The use of the Louie Armstrong International Airport as a medical triage center & as a drop-off point for supplies featured; scenes shown of former Vice President Al Gore touring the airport. [SOLDIER – describes the devastation in Kenner, Louisiana.]
