(Cairo: Jonathan Karl) The first trip to the Middle East by public policy envoy Karen Hughes to improve the US image overseas featured; scenes shown of her stop at a mosque in Cairo, Egypt. [In response to reporter's question about is it safe in Iraq, HUGHES - says it's up to Iraq to say.] The extent of the regional anger towards the US for propping up dictators & supporting Israel noted. [In ABC interview, HUGHES - says the end result will be a safer world; comments on the communications part of her job in the elections & now in diplomacy.]
