(DC) Environmental Protection Agency employee Hugh Kaufman's whistle-blowing on agency's management of superfund for cleanup of toxic waste sites examined. [KAUFMAN - claims to have documentation implicating White House] Kaufman's claims that administration allegedly made "sweetheart deals" with polluters noted involving Hamilton, Ohio, dump site; Rita Lavelle recalled recently offering to hand over diaries to Congress Reaction of Representative James Scheuer to Lavelle's offer noted. Environmental Protection Agency administration Anne Gorsuch mentioned still facing contempt chgs.; details given.
