(Haifa: Martin Fletcher) The fighting in the Israel-Lebanon border area featured; scenes shown of explosions in Bint Jbiel, Lebanon, wounded Israeli soldiers, a downed helicopter, rocket damage in Nahariya, Israel, an Israeli refugee camp. [Israeli Defense Forces Brig. Gen. Ido NEHUSHTAN†- says this terror organization {Hizballah} has been preparing for this war for years.] [Israeli REFUGEE, Orly BITON†– react to leaving their homes.]

(Washington: Lisa Myers) Israel’s bombing of Lebanese banks to cut off Hizballah’s financial infrastructure featured; map shown; targeted banks listed; Al Manar TV clip shown of an appeal for money for Hizballah to be sent to the Middle East and Africa Bank, which had ties to the US bank Wachovia. [Israeli counterterrorism advisor Brig. Gen. Dani ARDITI†- says assistance to Hizballah is assistance to a terrorist organization.] [Terrorism analyst Daniel BENJAMIN†- assesses Israel’s strategy.]
