(DC) Supreme Court ruling on Arizona State football player Kevin Rutledge's suit against coach Frank Kush, following Kush's hitting him and trying to eliminate him from team for bad play, examined; background to case explained. [1978, KUSH - hits player, comments on quality of play.] [RUTLEDGE - explains purpose of suit.] Focus of Rutledge's suit said based on Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871; details outlined on screen. Arguments presented court by Kush's attorney recalled. Opinion of Justice John Paul Stevens quoted. Kush, fired by Arizona State, said now head coach for Baltimore.
