(Studio: Tony Harris) Report introduced.

(New York City: Jeanne Moos) A North Carolina man fighting for custody of his own severed leg reported; details given about Shannon Whisnant, who found the leg in a meat smoker he bought at auction and wants to keep it as a tourist attraction, and about the leg’s original owner John Wood, who lost the leg in a plane crash and had it embalmed before it was sold with his belongings in a storage unit; tape of Whisnant’s 911 call played. [WOOD†- says this has turned into a freak show.] [WHISNANT†- says Wood “doesn’t have a leg to stand on” legally.] [Attorney Raoul FELDER†- says Whisnant bought it fair and square.]
