[McCAIN - says Gramm does not speak for him; jokes about Gramm being ambassador to Belarus.] [For the "Washington Times," GRAMM - speaks about the nation of whiners.] [OBAMA - says we don't need another Dr. Phil.]

(Studio: Campbell Brown) Live "strategy session" held with CNN's David Gergen and Ed Rollins and Democratic National Committee member David Zimmerman about Gramm and McCain. [From Boston, GERGEN - says Gramm is a major surrogate for McCain and rumored to be Treasury secretary and it covered up for some things out of the Obama campaign.] [ROLLINS - talks about the conflict in the party over the economy and how surrogates need to be on the sheets.] [ZIMMERMAN - says McCain has to connect with suffering people in the economic times.]
