(Studio) Teamsters said expected to endorse President Reagan; Vice President George Bush noted addressing Teamsters conference in Ohio tonight. Teamsters support of Reagan-Bush ticket in 1980 recalled. Jesse Jackson's announcement of plans for his coalition to defeat Reagan outlined.

Studies on Reagan's and Mondale's standings with blacks, whites outlined on screen, discussed; apparent lingering effect on whites of Jackson's anti-Semitic remarks and association with Louis Farkahn noted. [Center spokesperson Tom CAVANAGH - interprets poll results as indicating racial backlash in South against Jackson.] Polarization implied by poll considered.
