(Studio) Israeli and Egyptian jets trade attacks, Israel hits on Canal near Cairo, Egypt hits E. of Canal. Palestinian guerrillas claim they attacked Israel across Jordan River. Amman sources say 4 in King Hussein's cabinet resign in protest of handling of guerrillas.

(Amman, Jordan) Hussein abdicated, not officially; all he has left is his title. Power now held by guerrilla groups; King can't control them; fears civil war; wants to unite Jordan's strength against Israel. [HUSSEIN - interviewed.]
