(New York City) Secretary of State George Shultz's upcoming trip to Moscow to prepare for Reagan-Gorbachev summit examined. [USSR foreign minister Eduard SHEVARDNADZE - (thru translator) announces Shultz's acceptance of invitation.] Shevardnadze's previous mtgs. with President Reagan recalled; Shultz mentioned never meeting with Sovs. in summit preparations.] Areas of continued differences said illustrated by Reagan's United Nations speech criticizing USSR presence in Afghanistan, Tass response to that speech and today's Kremlin ad in "Washington Post" accusing Reagan administration of falsifying and distorting USSR arms control proposals. Reagan mentioned solidifying allied support for his summit performance in today's mtgs. with Prime Min. Yasuhiro Nakasone and Chancellor Helmut Kohl here.
