(Tampa: Armen Keteyian) The news conference where baseball player Alex Rodriguez was questioned on his use of steroids featured; details given of his admission that he injected drugs legally bought by a cousin in the Dominican Republic. [RODRIGUEZ – says he didn’t think they were steroids; thanks his teammates for their support.] [In December, 2007 “60 Minutes” interview, RODRIGUEZ – denies using performance-enhancing substances.] Former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre’s depiction of Rodriguez in his new book noted.
