(Studio) Nixon in Chicago, with state govs. studying pollution problem along Lake Michigan; offers aid in pollution fight.

(Chicago, Illinois) Nixon inspects experimental sewage treatment plant. Nixon met with 4 midwestern govs. to talk about pollution. Company promise to do better in sharing money with cities. [NIXON - reports going to close action gap, pollution not political issue.] Nixon believes visit was successful.

(Studio) Americans flee pollution of large cities for vacations in South, but smog and pollution there too.

(Jacksonville, Florida) Florida has environmental problems same as other cities and campaign to clean up pollution not large enough.
