(Fort Benning, Georgia ) Hearings begin with Lieutenant William Calley's pre-trial. prosecution for defense says high-officials pressured for-Calley's court martial; government denies it. 1st to take stand Fort Benning's chief legal officer, Colonel Robert Lathrop. Prosecutor, Captain Aubrey Daniel asks Lathrop if at anytime he was told what action to take. [Defense attorney George LATIMER - says publicity has affected case.]
