(Studio: Soledad O'Brien) The impact of the rough weather on the oil cleanup efforts in the Gulf of Mexico noted.

(New Orleans: Randi Kaye) The delay by the Army Corps of Engineers of the construction of a stone jetty barrier to keep the oil out examined. [Jefferson Parish councilman Chris ROBERTS†- says the Corps closed for the weekend.] [At the office, Corps WATCHMAN - says no one is working.]

(Studio: Soledad O'Brien) earlier discussion held with Jefferson Parish councilman John Young & Plaquemines Parish president Billy Nungesser about the stone barriers to trap the oil. [YOUNG - explains the role of the stone jetty that has been opposed by the Corps; says there is no sense of urgency while oil comes into Barataria Bay: that these are not normal times; calls for the federal government to execute.] [NUNGESSER†- says we are being inundated by oil so let's come up with a solution; calls for them to get out there & pick up oil.]
