(Managua, Nicaragua) Release of Witness for Peace members allegedly kidnapped on Nicaragua-Costa Rica border by United States-backed guerrillas reported [Group spokesperson Sharon HOSTETLER - announces group's release.] [Voice of kidnapped MBR. - describes attack.] Witness for Peace's activism in Nicaragua discussed; President Dan. Ortega mentioned meeting with group today. Vice foreign minister Victor Tinoco mentioned calling for demilitarized zone between Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Costa Rican President Luis Alberto Monge Alvarez noted suggesting kidnapping incident was contrived by Sandinistas. ARDE guerrilla leader Eden Pastora mentioned. [ARDE spokesperson Carlos PRADO - denies involvement of his organization]
