Lauderdale, Florida: Kerry Sanders) The migration of endangered manatees in search of warmer water as temperatures are below freezing in Florida featured; manatee deaths from cold stress syndrome cited; scenes shown of the manatee Pigpen, who is recovering from the cold, and manatees gathering in warm water from power plants. [Save the Manatee Club Katie TRIPP†- says manatees are a temperature-sensitive species.] [Miami Seaquarium veterinarian Dr. Maya RODRIGUEZ†- notes there are many who are not making it.] [Florida Power and Light Co. spokesman Greg BROSTOWICZ†- comments on the cost to customers for heating the water.]
