Possible that Pathet Lao didn't go along with North Vietnam agreement.

This was after Dean had Hunt's White House office raided and files from office transferred to his own office. [BYRD - says he's amazed that Gray continued, and would still continue, to supply raw FBI files to Dean in face of fact that Dean lied to FBI.] White House condemns Byrd's questioning.

Other sections recommend restoration death penalty, limitation insanity definition and high mandatory jail terms for drug pushers.

[Senator Frank CHURCH - asks if suggestions were designed to create economy problems for Allende's Chile.] [GERRITY - says yes.] Gerrity says $1 million offered by ITT (International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation) for use in Chile designed to placate Allende by starting farm and housing projects. Former company director John McCone testified money was to be used to oppose Allende government [Senator Charles PERCY - says Gerrity story not plausible.]

(Cliffside, North Carolina) [Yale Lung Center Dr. Arend BOUHUYS - says many cotton mill workers disabled with brown lung at early age. Disease causes premature death in some cases. [William POTEAT - says disease sufferers cough up cotton.] Cotton inhaled when machines cleaned. British cotton mills recognize disease and compensate workers disabled from it. American mills don't. [American Textile Mfrs. Institution spokesperson F. Sadler LOVE - says textile industry produces cloth, not machines to prevent brown lung.] Mills say can't afford machinery that would keep down level of cotton dust in air. [Former Assistant Secretary Labor George GUENTHER - says government seeking solution that will protect workers and yet not cost cotton mills too much.] William Poteat has brown lung and was forced to retiree at early age because of it. Industry sends him pension of $31.50/mo. Cotton workers mostly nonunion and government not pressuring industry to get better safety standards.
