(Studio) In Democrat Illinois primary, Jimmy Carter won 48% of vote; 28% for Alabama Governor George Wallace; 16% for Sargent Shriver, and 8% for Fred Harris. Vote counts noted. Carter has 123 Democrat delegates; 85 for Senator Adlai Stevenson; 61 for Wallace; 51 for Senator Henry Jackson, and 23 for Representative Morris Udall. Senator maj. leader Mike Mansfield calls Carter a "formidable contender."
