Congress candidates dependent on rich private interests. Interests demand something in return. President Kennedy and Vice President Johnson beg Congress to pass laws for federal money for elections.

Morse campaign in high gear. Hammers at his seniority and if elected, to become chairperson of Labor and Public Welfare Committee [MORSE - says will win by substantial major Knows Oregon people and they know his record. He wins because he is always an issue.] Probably voters will ignore national trend and re-elect Morse.
