Speculated there will be House move to dethrone John McCormack. Mike Mansfield will continue to lead Senate. Senator Edmund Muskie next in line. Senate Foreign Relations Committee to become more aggressive in establishing Congress control over foreign policy. Democrats and Republicans to fight among selves. Senate Armed Services Committee to be headed by John Stennis. Its old chairperson, Richard Russell, takes over appropriations committee Barry Goldwater to call for military victory in Vietnam on armed services committee if no progress at talks. Major Congress will back Nixon. Trouble will come over his spending programs. Representative Wilbur Mills doesn't feel 10% surtax should expire. Few New Congress members.
